Buteyko India offers wellness program on the Buteyko Breathing Method
Importance of Breathing:
According to Maslow's hierarchy of needs the first and foremost important need of a human is air. Unless the need of air is balanced the human mind does not focus on any activity. Many are suffering and fighting daily to fulfil the need of air, for this to achieve we consume drugs to get temporary relieve.
The breathing related disorders management through drugs are temporary and have dangerous life threatening side effects.
The natural way of breathing is achieved only by practicing the Buteyko breathing therapy.
Buteyko breathing therapy is a clinically proven effective, natural and safe way to relieve and eliminate asthma, allergies, COPD, sleep apnoea, panic attacks, sinusitis, hay fever, bronchitis, snoring and all breathing related disorders.
The Buteyko method is named after its founder Doctor Konstantin Buteyko. It is the most effective drug-free approach for the management of asthma and other breathing related problems. It can be practiced by both adults and children, and gives quick and consistent results.
About Dr.Konstantin Pavlovich Buteyko
Konstantin Pavlovich Buteyko was born on the 27th January 1923, into the small farming community of Ivanitsa (about 150km from Kiev). Buteyko commenced his medical training in Russia in 1946 at the First Medical Institute of Moscow.
In 1953 Buteyko was given a practical assignment which involved monitoring patients' breathing, and spent hundreds of hours recording their breathing. During this time, Professor Buteyko discovered that incorrect breathing caused a range of health problems. Thereafter, most of his professional life was devoted to researching and refining the breathing method which has helped thousands of people throughout the world to overcome their asthma and other breathing conditions.
According to the founding principles of the Buteyko Method, some 200 diseases are linked to dysfunctional breathing: asthma, allergies and emphysema are just a few examples. More than 40 years of research have produced the Buteyko Method, which can recondition and normalise the breathing and restore the body's most important function.
Buteyko Breathing Therapy
The Buteyko Method is a technique first developed by Russian respiratory physician, Dr Konstantin Buteyko. This method allows people to re-train their breathing patterns as a way of improving health.
Professor Konstantin Buteyko, developed the method in the 1940s to alleviate such conditions. He found that hyperventilation is the primary cause of these conditions and thus his programme is based on slowing down breathing rates to within normal parameters.
To be more specific, conditions such as asthma, high blood pressure, sleep apnoea, panic disorders, hypertension, etc. are believed to be the body's responses (defence mechanism) to 'hyperventilation' or in simple terms; over-breathing.
There is an underlying cause common to all these conditions: incorrect breathing. The Buteyko breathing technique has been the subject of eight published studies and is endorsed by the British Guideline on the Management of Asthma 2008.
The inventor Dr. K. P. Buteyko, found that asthma and many other chronic conditions such as allergy, rhinitis, high blood pressure and angina were protective mechanisms caused by habitual over breathing. The technique he developed stops attacks of asthma and brings about recovery in at least 90% of patients within a few days of training.
